Who We Are
Ina Chadwick,
Executive Producer
Ina Chadwick is a published poet, journalist, and playwright, admitted to the Dramatists Guild in 2019. Widely recognized as a creative visionary, she is often sought after as a “change agent.”
Ina has held leadership roles in numerous newspapers, earning accolades for her editorials, social satire columns, and science reporting. In 1970, as an early public advocate for women’s rights, she founded the Westchester ad hoc committee for abortion reform, playing a significant role in the lobbying efforts that led to Roe v. Wade. In the early 1980s, she launched the startup New Haven County Woman newspaper and revitalized the struggling Fairfield County Woman, making it the first publication in the country to be fully produced using Apple Macintosh desktop publishing. She was subsequently recognized as Stamford Businesswoman of the Year in 1985.
Later in her career, Ina established an Ombudsman-style “Reader’s Editor” position at Gannett Suburban News, covering 11 communities. She served as Communications Director for Women in Management for “The Sky’s the Limit” conference, where she secured Jane Pauley as keynote speaker. As editor of PROMO Magazine, Ina was a pioneer in covering cause-related marketing during the early days of the internet. As a Business Manager and Special Sections Editor for The Jewish Forward, she developed the Jewish Genetic Disease Supplement, which addressed a range of underreported and underfunded genetic diseases. The supplement became the most profitable advertising section for the print edition of the Forward. Ina was also the first online business columnist for AOL.com and CNBC.com, simultaneously working closely with contributors to the Journal for Corporate Philanthropy.
Ina’s community engagement is both local and far-reaching. She is a founding member of the Yale Campaign School for Women, has served on the Board of Directors of the Westport Arts Center, and has run numerous spoken word programs in partnership with arts organizations and libraries. She is the executive producer of Mouse
